Edge, the, living on, versus living in uncertainty from Family Posts

  • Edge, the, living on, versus living in uncertainty

Our theme for the month – “Living on the edge”.

“Question:
Théun, you refer to living on the edge. Does this mean to live in an intense state of uncertainty?

Answer:
No. To live on the edge means that you are WILLING to take your CHANCES no matter what the RISKS involved may be! This does NOT mean that the warrior is CARE-LESS; on the contrary, the warrior CARES so very MUCH about what is important to him that he will go to ANY lengths to materialise what is important for him. And what is important for the warrior? It is to live his or her life WITHOUT REGRETS!

To live in uncertainty means the complete opposite to living on the edge. To live in uncertainty means that you are never sure if you are going to succeed or not, whether you are going to be happy or not, whether you are going to have a job or not! But the warrior has no such fears or doubts! The warriors KNOWS because the warrior INTENDS to LIVE his life to the FULL, irrespective of what this means practically! But to LIVE life FULLY means being WILLING to RISK your EVERYTHING!“

Sometimes I thought I was born a Virgo WORRIER! Lol!

I read a fun horoscope somewhere once that Virgos only give the impression that they are perfectionists aka control freaks aka “it’s in the detail, man, in the detail!” – because in actual fact their lives are in total chaos! lol! - and these seeming attempts at making order out of the chaos is what makes them APPEAR to be totally all together! Whereas their living rooms may be spic and span, and all neatly arranged in order, open their bedroom cupboards - and all inside is likely to fall on your head! RATFL!

IF I allow it, this is what my inner head, my mind, can look like! Chaos! Worry! Always feeling like I am living a life of uncertainty – “never sure if I am going to succeed or not, whether I am going to be happy or not, whether I am going to have a job or not!” Worry, worry, worry!

As this is a habit of a lifetime, I still to this day have to watch my mind - like a hawk!

So what did I do to change this this constant internal dialogue -
this chaotic mind-set of mine?

In 1995 I resigned my long term, “secure” executive so-called cushy position in the corporate world, held my breath – and jumped! With no plans for the future!

My teacher at the time used to say “Jump! You could be strawberry jam! But … jump anyway! You could fly!” So jump I did!

At the end of every month thereafter the Virgo Worrier held her breath – waiting for the sky to fall on her head! “Will she have any money?; will she be able to keep her car?; will she still be able to have her hair done at a good hairdresser?; will she have to scale down her whole life just so as to survive?“

On and on it went!

And here we are in 2019 – and the sky has STILL not fallen in on her head! :-)

Why?

Because I started learning to LIVE the life of a (Virgo) WARRIOR! To shift the focus from worrying - to living a life of no regrets; to trust the process of life; to having an unwavering belief that I CAN handle anything that comes my way.

I learned that “what is important for the warrior? It is to live his or her life WITHOUT REGRETS!“

And that

“To live on the edge means that you are WILLING to take your CHANCES no matter what the RISKS involved may be!”

As I prepare today to leave my home country for Europe and beyond, all I know for certain is that I have an air ticket to leave tomorrow, I have a return ticket for November 2019, I have events planned for April 2019. And that is it!

What lies beyond April? I have no idea!

What I DO have in addition is a total belief that between now and then, life will guide me best as to what step to take next, one firm foot in front of the other!

Okay, having said all that, let me now get back to worrying how I can fit my whole Southerly life into 2 suitcases! Lolololol!
